New York ScholarshipsScholarships for Academic Excellence Winners of these scholarships must attend a New York college or university. These scholarships are renewable for up to four years or five if the program of study lasts for five years. Applicants must file the Scholarships for Academic Excellence Nomination Summary Form with a postmark no later than December 16, 2005.Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship This scholarship is for disadvantaged and minority students who are studying in a degree granting program leading to licensure in one of several professions. THe awards can range up to $5000 per year. Applications are available in January for next year's scholarships. There are other requirements.
