Missouri ScholarshipsMissouri Higher Education Academic "Bright Flight" Scholarship Program This scholarship is merit based. Students must rank in the top 3% of composite scores in the ACT or SAT for all Missouri students taking the exams. The amount of the scholarship is $2000 per year and is renewable. There are other requirements.
Marguerite Ross Barnett Memorial Scholarship Program If you are a half time student at a participating Missouri college or university and you are working at least 20 hours per week, you may be eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship amount depends on the student's financial need and can be as high as the full tuition costs. There are other requirements for this scholarship.
Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program Starting in 2007-08, this program replaced the Charles Gallagher Student Financial Assistance and Missouri College Guarantee programs. To qualify, students must submit the FAFSA by the required deadline, have an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of $12,000 or less, and be a US citizen or permanent resident and a Missouri resident. Awards are dependent on funding and for the last academic year were much lower than in previous years. There was no funding for 2010-11 by the Missouri General Assembly for either the Teacher Education Scholarship or the Urban Flight and Rural Needs Scholarship.
