Iowa ScholarshipsAll Iowa Opportunity Scholarship (AIOS) A state funded scholarship for students who both show high academic achievement and financial need. Private or Regent university students can receive the award for one year, but those in commmunity college can apply for and receive the scholarship for two years as long as all the requirements are met. Governor Terry E. Branstad Iowa State Fair Scholarships If you have actively participated in the Iowa State Fair and are a graduating senior going to an Iowa school, then you may be eligible for this scholarship. William C. Brown / James H. McGraw Greater Dubuque College Scholarship Competition If you are a high school senior in the Greater Dubuque area, which includes Jo Daviess County, IL, Grant County, WI, and Dubuque County, IA, and you are planning on attending and accredited college or university full-time, you may be eligible for this McGraw-Hill sponsored scholarship. The scholarships are worth $2,500 per year for four years (assuming that grades are maintained at an acceptable level). Robert D. Blue Scholarship This scholarship is funded by the Iowa Centennial Memorial Foundation and funding depends on the interest earned by the scholarship fund, so the number and amounts of the awards may vary from year to year. The usual amount of the scholarship is from $500-$1,000.
To apply, you must be an Iowa resident atending or planning to attend an Iowa college/university. Each applicant will write a 500 word essay about an individual from their community and what they have done for that community. The Foundation will take the high school GPA, financial need, references, and the student's essay into account when awarding the scholarships. Get more information about the Robert D.
