Delaware ScholarshipsDiamond State Scholarships Seniors who are in the top 25% of their class, score at least 1290 on the SAT and are enrolled at a nonprofit, regionally accredited school may be eligible for the Diamond State Scholarship. The award is $1250 per year and is renewable for up to three additional years. Approximately 50 awards are given each year. Delaware State University Inspire Scholarship Students must graduate from a Delaware high schoool with at least a 2.75 GPA, complete the FAFSA by March 15 and enroll in DSU in the fall following graduation to be eligible for the Inspire Scholarship. B. Bradford Barnes Memorial Scholarship This scholarship provides full tuition, fees, room, board, and books at the University of Delaware and is renewable for up to three additional years. Seniors who are in the top 25% of their class, score at least 1290 on the SAT and enroll at the University of Delaware may be eligible. There is one award given per year. Delaware SEED Scholarship The SEED (Student Excellence Equals Degree) Program will provide tuition for students pursuing an Associate's Degree at Delaware Technical & Community College or an Associate of Arts degree at the University of Delaware. Charles L. Hebner Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is in honor of the former Speaker of the State House of Representatives. There is one award yearly for the University of Delaware and one for Delaware State University. The value of the scholarshp includes full tuition, fees, room, board, and books and is renewable for another three years as long as the recipient keeps up a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students must be enrolled in a major in the humanities or social sciences with preference given to political science majors. Herman M. Holloway, Sr. Memorial Scholarship - Honoring the first African-American State Senator in Delaware, this scholarship provides tuition, fees, room, board and books for the recipient at Delaware State University. There is one scholarship awarded yearly and it is renewable for another three years, as long as a 3.0 cumulative GPA is maintained. A FAFSA and Common Merit Applicaton is required.
