Colorado Scholarships

Governor's Opportunity Scholarship This program provides more than 250 need-based scholarships to Colorado students, which can be used at any of 30 Colorado 2 and 4 year schools. The scholarship can be up to $10,800 per year and is renewable for up to 10 semesters. The FAFSA is the required application and must be filed by May 1 for priority consideration. Students will be notified of the award through their school's financial aid letter. There may be other requirements.

United Power Scholarships United Power of Colorado funds several scholarships each year totalling $18,500 for it's customers and their dependents. Included are
One $1,000 Basin Electric Power Cooperative Scholarship
Two $2,000 United Power Colorado College Scholarships
One $1,000 Lois Lesser Scholarship
One $1,000 Bill BVerens Memorial Scholarship
One $1,000 Tri-State Generation & Transmission Association Scholarship
Nine $1,000 United Power Book Scholarships
One $1,500 Youth Leadership Scholarship

Denver Scholarship Foundation The DSF Scholarships are need based and are renewable for up to five years as long as requirements are met. Students must have graduated from a participating high school and attend an eligible college or university. Currently the maximum award for a four year school is $4,000, a community college (Associates Degree) is $2,200 and Certificate program is $1,700 but these can change yearly.
