Colorado ScholarshipsGovernor's Opportunity Scholarship This program provides more than 250 need-based scholarships to Colorado students, which can be used at any of 30 Colorado 2 and 4 year schools. The scholarship can be up to $10,800 per year and is renewable for up to 10 semesters. The FAFSA is the required application and must be filed by May 1 for priority consideration. Students will be notified of the award through their school's financial aid letter. There may be other requirements.College In Colorado Scholarship Colorado thinks you are never too young to start planning for college, so 8th and 9th graders should take a look at this program. The scholarship requires that certain coursework be taken that will allow entrance to Colorado higher education institutions. There are also other requirements. United Power Scholarships United Power of Colorado funds several scholarships each year totalling $8,500 for it's customers and their dependents. Included are $1,000 Basin Electric Power Cooperative Scholarship, two $1,000 United Power Colorado College Scholarships, two $500 Tri-State Generation & Transmission Association Scholarships, seven $500 United Power Book Scholarships and two $500 United Power Non-Traditional Student Awards.
