Louisiana GrantsTuition Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) The TOPS grants are based on students' ACT or SAT I scores. The grants can pay up to the full cost of tuition and mandatory fees, as approved by the Louisiana legislature, in Louisiana public institutions. It may be used also in Louisiana independent colleges and universities.Louisiana GO Grants Award amounts are $2,000 for a full time student, $1,000 for a half time student and $500 for a less than half time student. To be eligible for a GO Grant, you must be a Louisiana resident, file a FAFSA, receive a Pell Grant or a financial need grant, have an education cost gap more than $0 and enroll in an eligible Louisiana institution.
