Kentucky College Grants and LoansKentucky GrantsKentucky Tuition Grant (KTG) Program This program provides need based grants to help with the higher costs of attending independent colleges. You must be a full time student in an associate or bachelor's program at an eligible school. This year, the KTG grants ranged from $200 to $2,800. You must file a FAFSA to be considered for the Kentucky Tuition Grant.College Access Program (CAP) CAP Grants are awarded to needy Kentucky residents enrolled at least half time in academic programs that take at least two years to complete. Once you fill out your FAFSA, your total expected family contribution (EFC) cannot exceed 3,850 to be eligible for the CAP Grants. Kentucky Go Higher Grant This is a need based grant for adults age 24 or older, enrolled less than half time at a Kentucky college or university and may be worth up to $1,000 for one academic year to cover tuition and a book allowance.
