Delaware College Grants and LoansDelaware GrantsScholarship Incentive Program (ScIP) Delaware residents will automatically be considered for this grant if they have filed their FAFSA by April 15. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be enrolled full-time in an undergrad program at a regionally accredited nonprofit college in Delaware or Pennsylvania. There may be more requirements. Awards run from $700 to $2,220 for undergrads and $1000 for grad students.Governor's Workforce Development Grant If you are employed by a Delaware company that contributes to the Blue Collar Training Fund Program and if you are studying part time at a participating college in Delaware, you may be eligible for the Governor's Grant. Educational Benefits for Children of Deceased Veterans and Others This grant program provides college grants to children of members of the following groups: Delaware Student LoansDelaware Nursing Incentive Program Legal residents of Delaware who are full-time students enrolled in an accredited program leading to certification as an RN or LPN may be eligible for the Delaware Nursing Incentive Program. Successful applicants may receive a loan which may not exceed the cost of tuition, fees, and other direct educational expenses. The loan may be renewable for up to three additional years. The loans may be forgiven at a rate of one year of loan for each one year of employment at a state-owned hospital or clinic (Governor Bacon Health Center, Emily P. Bissell Hospital, Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Delaware Psychiatric Center, and Stockley Center). There are other requirments. Applications are due on March 31. You can get more information by visiting the Delaware Higher Education website.Christa McAuliffe Teacher Scholarship Loan Legal residents of Delaware who are full-time students enrolled at a Delaware college in a program leading to teacher certification may be eligible for the McAuliffe Teacher Scholarship Loan. Successful applicants may receive a loan which can not exceed the cost of tuition, fees, and other direct educational expenses. The loan may be renewable for up to three additional years. The loans may be forgiven at a rate of one year of loan for each one year teaching in a Delaware public school. There are other requirements.
