Connecticut Grants

CT Aid for Public College Students Connecticut residents attending a Connecticut 2- or 4-year public college or university may be eligible for the Aid for Public College Students. Applicants must fill out the FAFSA and contact their school's financial aid office. This grant depends on financial need.

Connecticut Independent College
Student Grant Program
This grant is for Connecticut residents studying at independent Connecticut colleges or universities. The award can be up to $8500 and is based on financial need.


Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Nominees for this grant must be full time juniors or seniors studying in an undergrad teacher preparation program. The college education deans must nominate student. Applications are due by October 1.


Connecticut Loans

Connecticut Family Education Loan Program (CT FELP) This loan program is available to families with a student studying at least half-time in a Connecticut non-profit college or any Connecticut resident enrolled half-time or more in a non-profit college within the U.S. Interest rate currently is 5.5% and only interest is paid while student is still in school.
